Tactical Carbine I
Course Description
This one day course is designed for carbine rifle owners to become more proficient in utilizing their weapon system. Students will learn proper firearms handling and then practice those techniques on the range. This course is an advanced carbine course and students will be challenged physically. Students should have completed a basic carbine course before attending. The topics that will be covered include:
- Alternate Shooting Positions
- Reloads / Malfunction drills
- Rapid Engagements
- Use of Cover / Shooting from Cover
Required Equipment
- Eye Protection (wrap around style) (available for use)
- Ear Protection (available for use)
- Carbine with sling
- 300 rounds of ammunition (No green tip or armor piercing)
- Three magazines capable of holding 20 rounds or more
- Magazine retention system (vest w/ pouches, belt w/ pouches, chest harness, etc.)
Recommended Equipment
- Cold/ Wet Weather Gear (as appropriate)
- Notebook w/ writing utensil
- Weapon Cleaning kit
- Knee & elbow pads
- Snacks (range training is all day)
- Brimmed hat
- Appropriate clothing (no shorts)
- Camelback or similar
